Your data
The ASCEND Assessment asks you to describe your work, your manager, and the people around you. That is sensitive, and you are often writing about an employer. This page says plainly what we keep, why, and how to get it back or have it erased.

What we collect
When you take the free assessment: your answers, your email address, your first name if you give one, and how you arrived, meaning the link you came from. We store your result, the pillar it points to, and the recommendation written for you.
When you create an account: everything above, plus whatever you build in the app. Your Career Pathways, your Action Plan, your Network Map, your Accomplishments, and your coaching conversations. Your password is stored only as a one-way hash, which cannot be turned back into your password.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Where it goes
Your answers are stored in our database, hosted by Supabase. Your assessment answers are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to write your report and to power the Coach. Anthropic does not train models on that data. Your results email is sent through Resend. Those three companies are the only places your data goes.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it. We are a young product and we would rather tell you that than invent a retention schedule we do not yet follow.
Getting your data back
If you have an account: go to Account and data in the app and choose Download my data. You get one file with everything we hold about you. Nobody needs to approve it.
If you only took the assessment: write to hello@thenewarchetype.ai from the address you used, and we will send you what we have.
Deleting your data
If you have an account: Account and data, then Delete my account. This erases your account and everything in it, including the assessment you took before you signed up. It happens immediately and it cannot be undone.
If you only took the assessment: write to hello@thenewarchetype.ai from the address you used and say you want it deleted. We will do it and confirm when it is done. You do not have to give a reason.
One thing we cannot pull back: if we already emailed you your results, that email is in your inbox and any copy you downloaded is yours. Deleting your data here does not reach into your mailbox.
